Poem: Rewriting Rain [Mini Read]

A The Zebra With Rainbow Stripes Original: approx. read time = 34 seconds.

We hate the rain, pounding or drizzly
unless we can sit inside – snuggled & cozy
watching, from safely afar, the storms
in awe of the beautiful way lighting forms

We hate the rain, in any strength it be
its chaos and troubles is all we see
until hereby comes a lengthy drought
then shows what bounty it brought

We hate the rain, cursing it plentifully
only pay witness to its melancholy
when it, in returns, pays in wonders too
somber and stunning in blue

We hate the rain, with our entirety
as if it doesn’t carry good & bad variety
like it solely leaves disaster in its wake
and is the reason for every smile we fake

In any actuality, we have to see both sides
the flowers that grow & turbulent rides
sure, blame it for its caused destruction
but daisies aren’t only weeds for repulsion
