Poem: Hopeful Ask

take me as i am right now

for i have no knowledge

of what i will become

only time can tell, rain or sun

honesty is in my heart and soul

within my words’ task

please be one to answer

positively to my hopeful ask

love me as i am right here

an ever-growing flawed person

for its power may turn me

into a better, less broken version

fear of receiving only more pain

over acceptance and love

swells but so does hope at last

soaring high – free like a dove
