Poem: This Time

despite my hardest efforts

to reconcile, this time

of the year doesn’t like me;

went to therapy, took my pills

took extra like the doctor said;

yet cold and crispy air do away

with every progress i made;

i’m lost, falling – dizzyingly

everything to loose, no way

to stop my body soaring down;

scars on my body and mind

it was yesterday so why

am i plagued as if it’s today?
